Tribal Hotel is located in the old colonial Unesco-protected city of Granada, 50 minutes from Managua’s international airport, and about an hour and a half from the beaches near San Juan del Sur and the border with Costa Rica.
The hotel is located on the quiet calle Cuiscoma, only two blocks from the city center and from the calle Calzada, the pedestrian street where most of the night life takes place.
While the beaches near San Juan del Sur are perfect for sunbathing and surfing, and the Caribbean waters of Corn Island are best for snorkeling and diving, Granada is an ideal location to explore the real side of Nicaragua. With its colorful houses, beautiful colonial buildings, and grand cathedral and churches, the city is perfect for leisurely strolls, nice lunches in one of the many restaurants courtyards, and espresso-sipping at a café street terrace. At night the Calzada provides a lively nightlife where locals mingle with tourists.
Granada’s surroundings offer a vast array of site-seeing tours and the staff at Tribal Hotel can help you plan excursions and activities such as taking a private boat trip on lake Nicaragua and explore its dozens of wonderfully lush islets, or go horseback-riding in the country side, swim in the lake that fills an ancient volcano, or jump in the warm waters of a river in the middle of the jungle –all within an hour or less from the hotel.
Tribal Hotel offers five Premium Rooms and two Junior Suites, all of which have a private terrace overlooking the lush garden and pool. Glass sliding doors separate the room from their terrace, ensuring an appealing indoor outdoor feel when completely open to the outside breezes, or keeping the rooms air-conditioned when closed.
The Premium rooms are located either on the ground floor or second floor and feature a queen size bed, private bath, air-conditioning, and a private terrace.
RATE – $145 – $170 per night double occupancyThe Junior suites, both located on the second floor, are generously sized and feature a king-size bed, a very large private terrace with a nice view of the surrounding trees, private bath and air-conditioning.
The terrace is truly an outdoor living room, with a large built-in sofa, stylish chairs hand-made by local artisans, moody lighting and colorful Turkish killims.
